Ceramic coating bonds to your paint and cures into a hard, glossy, water-repelling layer. We correct the paint first, then coat it in our San Juan studio, so the finish you lock in is the best your paint can give.
Sun, rain, dust and bird droppings are hard on paint all year round. A coating gives your car, truck or SUV a hard, slick layer that takes the hit instead of the paint.
Water beads and rolls off
The hydrophobic surface sheds rain and rinse water, and carries loose dirt away with it.
Deep, glassy gloss
Coating freshly corrected paint gives a richer, wet-look shine that holds between washes.
UV protection
Helps shield paint and trim from the strong sun that fades and oxidises finishes over time.
Chemical resistance
Bird droppings, tree sap and bug splatter are less likely to etch into the paint before you wash them off.
Easier washing
Dirt has less to grip, so routine washes are quicker and gentler on the finish.
Inside, too
The 5-year package coats leather or fabric seats; the 3-year package adds UV protection to the dash and trim.
What it won't do: ceramic coating isn't scratch- or chip-proof. It resists light marring from washing, but rock chips and deep scratches need paint protection film or paintwork.
Ceramic Coating vs PPF
Coating or paint protection film?
They solve different problems, and plenty of owners use both: film on the front end for chips, with a coating over the whole car for gloss and easy cleaning.

How much does ceramic coating cost in Trinidad?
At Supreme Details, the 3-year ceramic coating package is TT$1,800 on sale until December 31st, regularly TT$2,850, and the 5-year package is TT$3,000 on sale until December 31st, regularly TT$5,000. Both include paint correction. The final price depends on your vehicle's size and paint condition, which we confirm when we inspect it with you.
How long does ceramic coating last?
Our packages are rated for 3 years and 5 years. How long a coating keeps performing also depends on care: gentle, regular washes help it go the distance, while brush washes and harsh chemicals wear it down sooner.
Is ceramic coating worth it?
If you want paint that stays glossy and is easier to keep clean, yes, especially under Trinidad's strong sun and frequent rain. It's most worthwhile on newer paint or paint that has just been corrected, because the coating locks that finish in.
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?
Yes. A coating seals in whatever is underneath, swirl marks included. That's why paint correction is part of both packages: 1-step on the 3-year package and multi-stage on the 5-year.
Does ceramic coating stop scratches and rock chips?
No coating is scratch-proof. Ceramic coating resists light marring from washing, but it won't stop rock chips, key scratches or deep scuffs. That's the job of paint protection film (PPF).
Ceramic coating vs PPF: which is better?
They do different jobs. PPF is a thick, clear film that absorbs rock chips and scratches, usually fitted to high-impact areas like the bumper and bonnet. Ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer that adds gloss, repels water and makes the whole car easier to clean. Many owners use both, with the coating over the film.
Does ceramic coating work on headlights?
Yes. Headlight lenses are clear plastic that yellows in the sun, and a coating adds a UV-resistant layer that helps slow that down. It can't reverse yellowing that's already there, so cloudy lenses need restoring first. Ask us about your headlights when you book.
Do you coat the interior as well?
The 5-year package includes a leather or fabric interior coating. The 3-year package includes interior UV and dashboard protection.
How do I wash a ceramic-coated car?
Use a pH-neutral shampoo, skip automatic brush washes, and dry with clean microfibre. Or leave it to us: our Ceramic Coating Aftercare Inspection (TT$100) is a pH-neutral wash made for coated vehicles, with a hydrophobic top-up and a check on the coating's health.
